Love is just a dream

shared between two people

and at times

may seem to be a game,

But, in the long run

there can be no winner

just fulfilling lives together

with a touch of pain.

Written by Tanja Nikolic in 9th grade (while daydreaming during typing class). Won a poetry award and was published '78 that same year of high school. Wow that was a long time ago and I still remember it!

LAST DANCE a vampire romance

INVISIBLE PHANTOMS
HANDSOMELY FIERCE
DANCE AROUND ME
SAMPLING
GENTLE INDULGENCES
TO KEEP FOR THIER OWN
FLAVORS SO INTOXICATING
PUNGENT AND FULL
mmm... 
THE VIOLINS
HOW THEY PLAY
EASING OUR HUMANITY
LIKE A DANCE
SHADOWS FOLD OVER ME
FLUTTERING LIKE DOVE WINGS
MASKING MY FACE
FROM THE SUN
DANCE AROUND DANCE
MOVE EVER SO SLOW
SIP OF MY WINE
THE LAST DANCE
OF MY LINGERING SOUL

Day 3 - Instrument of Time

Seasons
are changing
so are we
so is our song
the instrument of faith
sits
in a corner
in the dim of light
yellowed by the hours
and stained
by our thoughts

Dust
finds a resting place
we call hope
the keys are off tune
the sound dull
there must be light

See it
lingering
blending with the light
passing with time
one slow beat
after another, after another
becomes a thousand
becomes years
becomes our life
